About Psychodrama

The term psychodrama is derived from Greek words meaning “psyche” and “action”. Therefore, psychodrama is an exploration of the human psyche through action. It is a professional practice which utilizes action methods based upon the theory, philosophy, and methodology of Jacob L. Moreno, M.D. It uses methods of enactment, sociometry, group dynamics, role theory and social systems analysis to facilitate constructive change in individuals and groups through the development of new perceptions or reorganization of old cognitive patterns. It is widely used for personal growth, professional training and education.
